EDGEWATER Colo., (KDVR) -- Police in Edgewater are investigating a shooting that left a 29-year-old man dead and another hospitalized. Officers were dispatched to a disturbance around 5:18 a.m. in the 2700 block of Ingall Street at an apartment complex.Officers were on the scene for at least nine hours Sunday investigating.“Yeah I was actually scared, I was really scared, when you hear the sirens coming you don’t know what's going to happen, that’s when you see the yellow tape wrapping around," said Griselda Romero, a neighbor at the complex. IDAHO SPRINGS, Colo. (KDVR) -- High winds affected several areas along the Front Range on Sunday with parts of Boulder and Grand County reporting wind speeds of up to 90 mph.Flying debris in construction zones left cones turned over and drivers made their way to safe spots to take a break. BOXR Gym in downtown Miami, Trina’s Kids team up for holiday toy drive

It was toy time for a boxing gym in downtown Miami that wants to spread cheer this holiday season.BOXR and the nonprofit Trina’s Kids joined forces to host a free toy drive at the gym, located along the 1300 block of Northeast First Avenue, Sunday afternoon.Children and families could come take as many toys as they needed for this holiday season.The founder of BOXR, Mateo Attalla, said he brought what he learned growing up abroad to the Magic City.“You know, I come from a background where my family’s always given back in Australia, and one of those things that was told to me, which I’m actually fulfilling right now, is giving back to the community,” he said.Santiago was among the young recipients of a wide assortment of toys.“I feel like they’re super cool,” he said.This was BOXR’s first time holding a toy drive, and they plan on doing it again next year.

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — A series of loud explosions rang out in Ukraine’s capital early Monday followed by air raid sirens.There was no immediate word on the origin of the explosions, but they sounded like air defense units firing into the sky.Kyiv is routinely targeted by Russian drone and missile attacks.Just over two weeks ago, Kyiv came under what Ukrainian officials said was the most intense drone attack since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022.Ukraine’s air force said Russia launched 75 Iranian-made Shahed drones against the capital, of which 74 were destroyed by air defenses.The explosions Monday occurred just after 4 a.m. as the city was under its nightly curfew. A woman and two toddlers are in life-threatening condition in hospital after being found without vital signs at a Scarborough apartment building on Sunday night.Investigators say they were called to Glamorgan Drive near Kennedy and Ellesmere Roads just after 7:30 p.m. following reports a woman had fallen from a balcony at the building.When police arrived they found a woman in her late 20s, early 30s on the ground outside the building in critical condition. The children, both believed to be under the age of eight, were located inside an apartment unit with no vital signs as well.Insp.
