LETTERS – Thriving though Connection is a show revealing how people thrive with connection and the unhealthy attachments they make when connection is void. With a focus on family, Letters seeks to display the issues society faces when parents give up on their children and when children are left alone; physically alone or alone with devices to keep them“occupied”.
Through hip hop elements of dance and emceeing, the show brings to light that although these issues seem individual in nature, they are actually a serious societal issue, one that can be overcome through connection. The show will tell real-life stories of youth and parents. The emcees involved are creating original work to tell the stories through music. Characters in the show will be interpreting to the audience. We believe that through storytelling through the arts, we can inspire resiliency and change in this issue.
