OAKLEY — Two people were injured Sunday in what authorities are calling a hit-and-run, and a third person was arrested for leaving the scene of the crash, police said.Police arrested the 55-year-old man on suspicion of felony hit-and-run, Oakley Police Chief Paul Beard said in a statement.It all happened Sunday morning about 12:10 a.m., after police received a report of a crash at the intersection of Main Street and Charles Way that left a pickup truck completely rolled over, Beard said. The two people in that car suffered minor injuries, he said.Officers at the scene determined that a black sedan hit that the truck and fled the crash scene. OAKLAND — Two females were shot Monday night in East Oakland, authorities said.One victim was a 24-year-old woman; authorities were trying to confirm the others person’s age, but initial reports said she was a teen.Both were shot in the upper torso and were in stable condition Tuesday, authorities said. Police did not immediately say if the victims knew each other.The shooting happened about 8:50 p.m. Monday near the intersection of High and Suter streets, south of Interstate 580. It activated a gunshot detection system.The victims got their own transportation to a hospital. (BCN) -- While State Highway 1 remains closed after rock slides caused by this winter's heavy rains, crews have repaired a sinkhole on the highway several miles south of the ongoing closure.Caltrans officials said the sinkhole appeared Sunday one mile south of Nacimiento-Fergusson Road.
