Originally referred to as a homicide, the incident happened near the intersection of Deer Run Drive and Blue Dawn Trail, police said. That's near East William Cannon Drive and Bluff Springs Road.Originally, APD said officers would host a media briefing at a to-be-determined time. However, just after 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, APD posted on social media that it had canceled the briefing."Live briefing has been canceled. AUSTIN (KXAN) --- With Thanksgiving less than 24 hours away, travelers are flocking to the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. The Transportation Security Administration said it anticipates this will be the busiest holiday travel season ever, with more than 2.7 million passengers expected to move through airport security today. AUS said it expects about 34,000 departing travelers Wednesday. AUS suggests passengers check traffic conditions before heading to the airport. AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Dave & Buster's is poised to open its second Austin location next month, and the entertainment chain is looking to hire 160 people, company officials said in a Tuesday release.The new Austin location will be at Southpark Meadows at 9500 S. Interstate 35 Southbound Frontage Road. It's slated to open Dec. 18, per the release.Positions available include servers, bartenders, hosts, line cooks and game techs, among others. The law allows people who were sexually assaulted as adults, to sue their abuser in a civil case, regardless as to when it happened."This is a way to tell survivors we stand with you," said Assemblymember Linda Rosenthal.More than 2,500 cases have been filled. ST. LOUIS - Police are asking for the public's help with finding a suspect linked to a break-in of a women's basketball team's van earlier this month in St. Louis. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department shared photos of the suspect on Wednesday, more than two weeks since the break-in. Investigators say the Anderson College Women's Basketball team stopped for some photos at the Arch grounds on Nov. 10. When the team returned to their van, they noticed someone had broken into it and took off with several items. According to Nexstar affiliate FOX 59, bags contained uniforms, shoes, laptops, iPads and headphones were among the items stolen. The team had only been away from the van for roughly 30 minutes.
