ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Renovations have been completed at the Port of Albany. A ribbon cutting was held Wednesday to celebrate a project to revitalize the port's oldest maritime shed, which officials had previously planned to destroy.Instead, they renovated it. "With a new, modern facility, the shed offers enhanced temporary storage for goods moving in and out of the port," Janet Ho, NYSDOT Asst. Commissioner for Finance and Integrated Modal Services, said. O’FALLON, Mo. – Police in O’Fallon, Missouri, say they’ve arrested three people who were part of an international fraud ring.The bizarre plot was reportedly going down in St. Charles County parking lots. It then ended at a Target store parking lot on Highway K, south of Interstate 70, where the suspects were greeted with one heck of a surprise.A trunkful of rolled-up cash is what suspected international scammers thought they were going to steal from an elderly man, as Sgt. Bryan Harr described the twist.“When (the suspects) showed up at the location to pick up the money … they opened the trunk, it was just a piece of wood in there, and then they were taken into custody safely,” he said.One suspect, Ankurkumar Patel, was charged with financial exploitation of the elderly in a case that has now been handed over to the Department of Homeland Security. ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – Rockwood High School students traditionally graduate after Memorial Day. In August, the district announced a change, citing feedback as one reason for moving the end of the school year to before the holiday. The change also resulted in an earlier than usual graduation day.Eureka High School students will graduate on May 13. Students in the district’s other three high schools, Lafayette, Marquette, and Rockwood Summit, will graduate on May 11.Sara Barnard is the parent of a Lafayette senior. With the Hollywood writers strike over, actors will now get a shot at cutting their own deal with studios and streaming services.In a statement from SAG-AFTRA on Wednesday night, negotiators said meetings with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers will resume on Monday, Oct. 2.This meeting would mark the first time negotiating sides have met since actors walked out on July 14, marking 76 days into the strike.The indication to resume talks comes on the heels of the Writers Guild of America striking a deal with major studio heads and streamers on Sept. 24 with the strike coming to an official end on Wednesday morning.The WGA deal marked the end of a 146-day strike that began on May 2. When actors also joined writers on the picket lines, the move marked the first time in over 60 years that both unions had been on strike at the same time. (KRON) -- Law enforcement agencies raided five illegal grow houses in the East Bay on Tuesday, seizing more than $2.7 million worth of marijuana plants, the Oakley Police Department said. California's Department of Cannabis Control was joined by OPD's Special Services Team, its Investigative Unit and the City of Oakley's Code Enforcement Team in taking 4,229 plants. No arrests have been made in connection with the seizures, but several suspects have been identified, per OPD. The houses were located at:100 block of Bridalveil Way. Oakley, CA.
