5 arrested after North Bay police chase, dispensary burglary

(KRON) -- Five people were arrested in the North Bay after a police pursuit on Tuesday night, the Santa Rosa Police Department (SRPD) said. The vehicle involved in the chase was also connected to a burglary of a dispensary in Cotati on Monday, police said. The burglary happened at about 4:30 a.m. The suspects wore masks, entered the dispensary for about one minute and fled before police could arrive, according to the Cotati Police Department.At about 10:10 p.m. Tuesday, an SRPD officer spotted the vehicle used in the dispensary burglary near Maple Avenue and South E Street. Police said the car was stolen. (KRON) -- Four people were hospitalized after a carjacking led to a crash in Oakland on Wednesday, the Oakland Police Department said. Two of those with injuries were OPD officers.Undercover officers watched the carjacking happen just after 5 p.m. at 32nd Street and West Street in West Oakland, police said. After a short pursuit, an OPD helicopter was deployed. 2 arrested in San Francisco Sanchez Stairs crash, carjacking The people who stole the vehicle were part of a large group driving in multiple cars. One suspect vehicle crashed into a marked OPD car, police said. Multiple people were arrested. Police also recovered a gun at the scene. DENVER (KDVR) -- A wildfire named the Lowline Fire is burning approximately 14 miles north northeast of Gunnison and 11 miles southwest of Crested Butte, the U.S. Forest Service said. The fire sparked on Wednesday morning and the USFS said the cause is lightning. Reports of the fire were on the ridge between Squirrel and Mill Creeks in Gunnison County.As of 9:30 p.m., it was burning between 620-720 acres and is 0% contained.
